One of the activities for Catholic Schools Week at OLA is “Penny Wars.” Students donate pennies to their homeroom to earn “points” for their class and may sabotage other classrooms by bringing in nickels, dimes, quarters, and bills. All of the donations benefit Sam’s House, an orphanage in Nepal. This year’s Penny War yielded a phenomenal $3,169.96 for Sam’s House. Many thanks to our very generous students and families!
