The activities of the HSA support the school mission and philosophy of developing the whole child: spiritually, morally, physically, emotionally, socially and academically. The generous sharing of our God-given talents make OLACS the best Catholic and academic environment for our children.

Principal Coffees
The Principal hosts quarterly coffees to meet with parents in an informal setting.

New Family Welcome Committee
Prior to starting school, new families are contacted by an OLACS family to arrange a social outing.

Packet Pickup
This event is an opportunity for students and parents to gear up for the new school year. This event also offers social time for everyone as students and parents sign-up for after-school or volunteer programs.

New Family Dinner
New OLA Catholic School families are invited to a fun and informal family dinner. New families will have the chance to meet other families, talk to administrators, and hear about upcoming school events.

Welcome Back Breakfast
Join your fellow OLACS parents for a light breakfast and a cup of coffee immediately following morning drop off during the first week of school.

Muffins with Mom/Special Friend
Moms or special women in your child’s life attend an informal breakfast in the school cafeteria.

Donuts with Dad/Buddy
Dads or a special man in your child’s life attend a donut and coffee breakfast in the school cafeteria prior.

Grandparents' Day
We welcome Grandparents or special friends to visit the student’s classroom and to join with the school community for other activities, including a special Mass in their honor.

Teacher Appreciation
OLACS families write cards, bring in flowers and gifts to provide a small thank you to our wonderful teachers and faculty.

Faculty Christmas Tea

HSA hosts a Faculty Christmas Tea to thank our faculty and staff for their dedication to our school.

Catholic Schools Week
The national celebration of our rich Catholic schools heritage across America includes a family Mass and other special school led classroom activities throughout the week.

Father/Daughter Sock Hop

This long time OLACS tradition is a favorite! Put on your 50’s attire and hit the dance floor in the OLA gym.

Classroom Parties
Room Parents coordinate with teachers to arrange classroom holiday parties. Snacks and a craft project in younger grades are coordinated with other classroom parents.

Library Volunteers
Parents volunteer in our media center to shelve books and assist children in book selection.

Lunchroom Volunteers
Parents assist during lunch in all grades. The children enjoy seeing parents during lunchtime!

Room Parents
Room parent volunteers act as a communication channel between the Home and School Board committees and the parents.

Family Game Night
Fun for the whole family! Bingo! Games! Cake Walk! This family event is a great community builder for our school.

Lost and Found
HSA volunteers coordinate returning to students the many lost articles of clothing, backpacks, umbrellas, and school supplies
