Teaching Assistant

Paraprofessional
Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic School, a PK–8 twice-recognized National Blue-Ribbon School of Excellence in Brookhaven, is seeking a caring, reliable, and dedicated paraprofessional to provide one-on-one support to a student for the 2026–2027 school year. This role is essential in helping the student access the curriculum, build independence, and fully participate in the school day through individualized academic, social, and behavioral support. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a patient and compassionate approach, and the ability to consistently implement teacher-designed accommodations and behavior strategies. A high school diploma is required (some college or relevant coursework preferred), and experience working with children, especially those with disabilities, is highly valued.
