Spiritual Life Committee

The Spiritual Life Committee helps to strengthen the bond between home and school. Members give support to the OLA faculty as they challenge each child to grow spiritually and morally through Christ and his church. The parent volunteers are called Spiritual Angels because they assist the teacher with religion activities and projects in celebration of Catholic traditions and feast days. Spiritual Angels can be seen around school during the October Rosary Projects, St. Vincent de Paul Food Drives, monthly Hearty Meals days, and the Adopt-a-Family Refugee program during Lent.

Recognizing that parents are children’s primary teachers, Spiritual Life offers family support, fellowship, and enrichment opportunities through the Prayer Circle, Prayer Chain, and Mother’s Retreat.

Finally, as part of the mission of the Catholic Church, the Spiritual Life Committee organizes community support for out-reach ministries that provide opportunities for our children to model the Gospel as Jesus taught us and to share God’s love with others.

“We can do no great things, only small things with great love.” – Saint Teresa of Calcutta
